Maine Prep’s GMAT coaches, Jack Mahoney and Dugan Slovenski, are long-time standardized prep coaches. Jack’s taught GMAT/GRE and trained new teachers to teach both tests for Stanley H. Kaplan Educational in New York City. Dugan has been coaching math for many years, and has coached GMAT along with GRE, ACT, and SAT since beginning with Maine Prep in 2006.
The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test (CAT), which means that the computer adapts to your skill level as you take the test. This sort of format can be very disturbing for those who have excelled at taking paper-and-pencil tests because the computer just keeps raising the level until you feel very ordinary.
